Vail Innovation Center
Letter from the Coordinator
September 9, 2020
Hello amazing VIC Students/Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. This week there will be more information coming your way from the district with regards to hybrid learning at the brick and mortar schools as well as a COVID-19 Acknowledgement that will need to be signed before returning to campus. This will also need to be signed before coming to the VIC for any open lab times, tutoring, or meetings with your teachers when that is available again. For those of you that are new to the VIC, we offer Open Lab usually 3 days a week to allow time for students to gain one on one support from their teachers in grades 6-12. Please be on the lookout for emails from the district.
We all are looking forward to seeing our students soon! Also, we hope to plan some social events as the weather cools down as that will allow for outdoor activities and social distancing. If you are interested in helping plan some of these activities virtually or for the outdoors, please email me at tankersleyr@vailschooldistrict.org.
Be Well,
Rachel Tankersley

K-5 Families
We have been so impressed with the students and families for all of their continued hard work and efforts in getting this year up and running. Thank you for working to make this transition a success.
Latest News:
- The elementary teachers have been so very impressed with the kiddos and wanted to send out a few shout outs to our students of the month! Congratulations to the kids and their families!
- This week the teachers will continue to be on the lookout for kids that are dressed to impress during the Zoom meetings as well as those on task. It has been so adorable to see their style. We would love to see the students show their personalities with their learning environment and clothing choices.
